Me Time Homes is a new entity providing temporary housing for graduates of rehab programs in Placer County and Sacramento County, so far.

What led to us choosing to open these homes? There are so many reasons!

  • Realizing there are government programs (Continuum of Care) that promote this form of support to rehab graduates and various mental health challenges.

  • Having a heart for people struggling with addiction who would really love to be clean and sober.

  • Knowing we can make a huge difference in not just a handful of people's lives.

Continuum of Care organizations have had programs in place to pay for people with various mental health challenges. I think if people realized this, and how to run an effective Sober Living home, there would be less homelessness among recovering addicts. We decided to jump in and give legs to this movement.

How are we tied to addiction? We have 3 immediate family members who lost their lives to addiction, one to alcohol starting at a very young age and dying at only 63 years old - a reverse rags to riches story. Another a gorgeous pageant queen and model and loving mom to 4 great kids at only 47 years old (suicide). And the third, her 26-year old daughter, addicted to meth. After losing her only child to custody by the state, she died a painful, agonizing drug-related death. We believe that they all would have had a MUCH higher chance of recovery had they been able to live in a nice home with other people who are serious about recovery, who are living by the rules of a Sober home, contributing to keeping the home clean and welcoming. Instead they all went to homes where drug and alcohol flowed right under their noses and sucked them right back in.

We've seen this in so many people we've known prior to addiction too.

Help us spread awareness and help us get referrals from rehab programs and mental health programs who pay these people's way to healthier, independent and sober lives.
